This stanza includes three favorite Michigan symbols: the white-tailed deer, the Chlorastrolite, and brook trout. The Chlorastrolite (state gem) means green star stone and is found mainly on Isle Royale in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. We hope to find one someday, perhaps on our next adventure to the U.P. 

This print is the eighth stanza of the poem "Little One, This is Your Home."
